CISC Limited and Meiya Pico collaborate to launch Joint Research Laboratory for digital forensics an

With the aim of promoting the research and development of digital forensics and cyber security, CISC Limited and Xiamen Meiya Pico Information Co Ltd collaborate to launch a “Joint Research Laboratory for digital forensics and cyber security”. A signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding was held at Cyberport on 30 January 2018, with Dr KP Chow, Chairman and Co-founder of CISC Limited and Mr Xuefeng Zhang, Vice President of Xiamen Meiya Pico Information Co Ltd officiating the ceremony.

The cooperation of the Joint Research Laboratory includes the joint efforts of both parties to promote digital forensics and cyber security related activities, to share knowledge, and to co-develop related products, solutions and services and expand to overseas market.

Global cyber threats and the number of attacks will continue to grow. Cybersecurity Ventures predicts the global cyber attack damage will cost US$6 trillion by 2021. The spending on cyber security has been on the rise. According to Gartner, worldwide cyber security spending is expected to reach US$93 billion globally in 2018.
